All-Vegan Grocery Store Opens in South Australia
Adelaide—Australia’s fifth largest city—is home to a new retailer, Everything Vegan, offering cruelty-free fare and products.
June 27, 2013
One-stop shop Everything Vegan, run by mother-daughter duo Kym Henley and Kelly Dinham, recently opened in South Australia’s capital city of Adelaide. The pair saw a need for an all-inclusive retailer that offered everything from plant-based eats and cruelty-free cosmetics to vegan pet food and eco-friendly cleaning products. After weekly trips to numerous stores in order to pick up essentials, Henley and Dinham decided to open a space where compassionate consumers could buy all the basics without having to check ingredients and labels. Everything Vegan boasts hundreds of products such as dairy-free cheeses and desserts, vegan makeup, cookbooks, and items for companion animals. “There is a significant increase of people opting for a vegan lifestyle, and we can already see that change happening now,” Dinham tells Australia’s Herald Sun.
