St. Louis Welcomes A New Vegetarian Restaurant
Tree House is the latest meat-free eatery to open in Mound City, serving up an eclectic mix of veg cuisine.
June 18, 2013
Vegetarian bistro Tree House opened in St. Louis on June 7, led by executive chef John Intrieri and pastry chef Victoria Lopez, who bring Latin flair to the menu, while owner Bay Tran adds a touch of Vietnamese favorites. Tran comes from a family of restaurateurs, dating back three generations, and though Mound City locals can expect Asian-influenced fare, Tran doesn’t want to present just one kind of cuisine. Instead, Tree House boasts an ethnically diverse menu that includes raw noodle bowls and Banh Mi sandwiches, as well as tamales, roasted plantains, fried beets, and burgers. Tree House’s bar will serve local beers and wine with cocktails courtesy of mixologist Mandi Kowalski.
