The Mile High vegan scene has gotten a healthy twist with the addition of Nectar House, a raw vegan restaurant and elixir bar in Denver. At the helm of the hippie-esque establishment are Piper Rose and Jennetta Alden, who told 303 Magazine that they met at a vegan event and decided to combine their passions of making uncooked cruelty-free cuisine and creating healthy non-alcoholic concoctions. Rose is heading the elixir front and is collaborating with mix-masters from all over the country, from Oregon to Boulder, to furnish the liquid menus. Last Sunday, Nectar House held an all-day brunch event, but its official opening will be on February 1 with a yoga dinner party, and the restaurant will make a special menu for Valentine’s Day.
