Luxembourg—whose citizens eat more meat than any other country in the world—is the latest nation to adopt a Meatless Monday campaign. With an initiative led by Luxembourg television personality Anne Faber, the country joins Brazil, the United Kingdom, Kuwait, South Africa, and 31 others in promoting a meat-free diet on a national scale. In the US—which has the third largest per-capita consumption of meat—Long Beach, CA became the latest city to pass a Meatless Monday resolution. Other cities promoting vegetarian eating include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Aspen, Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and Cleveland.
