Prominent Author Named “Vegan of the Year”

Best-selling author Kathy Freston will accept award from animal organization Last Chance for Animals at gala in Beverly Hills, CA on October 22.

Last Chance for Animals (LCA) has honored writer and activist Kathy Freston with their “Vegan of the Year” award for 2016. Freston is a New York Times best-selling author whose books include The Lean, Veganist, Quantum Wellness, The One, and The Book of Veganish, which was released last month. Freston’s work promotes a holistic plant-based approach to health and well-being for people, animals, and the planet. She has appeared on many popular television programs, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, Ellen, Dr. Oz, Good Morning America, and Charlie Rose. Her writing has been featured in national magazines such as Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, Self, and Fitness. LCA will present the award to Freston at its Annual Fundraising Gala in Beverly Hills, CA on Saturday, October 22.
