Thanks to Upton’s Naturals’ new Classic Burger patties, we’re firing up our grills early this year. While the company is better known for their jackfruit offerings, this hearty seitan-, eggplant-, and tofu-based patty holds up to heat like a pro and makes an excellent vehicle for toppings such as crisp lettuce, thick slices of tomato, and rings of red onions. We also like to bulk up our burgers with a few slices of avocado and serve them on a toasted sesame seed bun. If you find yourself in Chicago this summer, head over to Upton’s Breakroom—the company’s public eatery—where they use the patty to create a Bacon Ranch Cheeseburger loaded with their Bacon Seitan, homemade cheese sauce, and all the fixin’s.
