Vegan brand Kite Hill can now be found in the refrigerated section at Target, joining fellow plant-based brands such as Silk and So Delicious. The Hayward, CA-based non-dairy company took to Facebook on February 11 to announce that their almond milk yogurts are now available in 80 different Target stores in states such as AZ, CA, HI, IL, MI, NV, OH, UT, VA, and WA. In addition to expanding their distribution, Kite Hill has unveiled a new caramel yogurt flavor that can be purchased at select locations—alongside vanilla, peach, blueberry, strawberry, and plain varieties. Target’s commitment to carrying vegan products from companies such as Hampton Creek, Daiya, Gardein, and Amy’s Kitchen has made plant-based eating more accessible for Americans. With recent studies revealing that millennials tend to gravitate toward vegan options, the superstore’s stake in the plant-based market only seems to be increasing to keep up with evolving consumer demands.
