For the fourth year in a row, the Ethical Company Organization (ECO) has named Redwood Wholefood Company the most ethical vegetarian food supplier in the UK. The announcement came yesterday after the group released the latest edition of The Good Shopping Guide, its annual, best-selling reference book to today’s most ethical businesses. Longtime animal activist and 2009 Veggie Award winner Heather Mills bought the vegan food company in July and has upheld its award-winning standard of eco-friendly and cruelty-free practices. The company produces more than 50 different food items, all made from 100 percent natural, plant-based ingredients. Particularly popular are its line of “Cheatin’ Meats,” which are widely available in grocery stores across the UK and rumored to be on its way to the US.
