Carrie Underwood’s Self Cover

Vegetarian country superstar Carrie Underwood graces the cover of the January 2010 issue of Self. In the popular fitness and health magazine, the chart-topper shares some of her biggest pet peeves, including people who don’t take care of their animals: “I hate it when people don’t take care of their pets. It’s important to spay or neuter them.” The 26-year-old American Idol winner is a big supporter of the Humane Society for the United States, advocating for spay and neuter programs and for the welfare of stray animals. Underwood has twice been voted as one of PETA’s “World’s Sexiest Vegetarians.”
