Germany’s Vegan Grocery

A new vegan supermarket opened on Saturday in Dortmund, a town in northwestern Germany. Vegielicious provides 2,700 square feet of vegan groceries and household products, as well as a café serving cupcakes, cakes, and other items. Kim Kalkowski, the owner of Vegielicious, is also the co-founder of an all-vegan catering business based in Dortmund. The United States is home to veg grocery stores as well—Viva La Vegan Grocery in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., and Food Fight! Grocery in Portland, Ore. are both 100-percent vegan.
