Vogue recently featured health and fitness advice from three vegans in its article “Back to Beach Season.” As winter turns to spring and people start dreaming of summer beach days, Vogue sought tips from top nutritionists, trainers, and health experts including vegan health coach Latham Thomas, author Kathy Freston, and exercise physiologist Marco Borges. Their words of wisdom? “Go vegan!” says Freston. “Vegan food has a high thermic effect (calories burned as body heat during digestion), which amps up your metabolism.” Thomas suggests cutting back on the alcohol, and Borges recommends three to five 45-minute workout sessions each week.
