Vegan bakery Cinnaholic has been honored by the Oakland-based newspaper East Bay Express as “The Best Remixed Comfort Food.” Owners Shannon Michelle Radke and Florian Radke opened their bakery in the summer of 2010 and quickly acquired a loyal following. Cinnaholic bakes up fresh, vegan cinnamon rolls with customizable toppings, such as fruit, chocolate chips, and cookie dough, which appeal to vegans and non-vegans alike. “It feels awesome!” Florian said regarding the award. “We’re really happy to be mentioned in a non-vegan category because it means vegan food is becoming more mainstream.”
