Actress Shannon Elizabeth Says No to Turkey

Longtime vegetarian Shannon Elizabeth has partnered with animal-rescue organization Farm Sanctuary as its new spokesperson for the Adopt a Turkey Project. Elizabeth tells The Huffington Post, “Too many people only consider cats and dogs when they think about loving animals … They don’t realize how every animal out there has feelings, has a heart and soul, has emotions.” The actress also revealed that people ought to start a new Thanksgiving tradition that doesn’t involve mass killings of turkeys. Listing sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, and green beans as her dinner table must-haves, Elizabeth sees no reason to contribute to any kind of animal slaughter for any meal.
