Mercy For Animals’ Mad Sausage, is a one-minute and 37-second romp through the meat industry’s inherent health hazards and torturous practices. The video begins in a diner with a talking piece of meat telling his soon-to-be masticator, a young man, about the disease, and prison-like conditions found on factory farms. “I would have given my right f**king leg for a bit of fresh air,” the sausage laments in a Cockney accent. “I ended up giving all of them.” The young man doesn’t heed the personified meat’s warning and bites into it anyway, unleashing an intense montage of undercover footage of factory farms spliced with repulsive shots of meat processing. A slightly abbreviated version will air in major cities across the country on MTV, VH1, and Bravo.
