The struggle to oppose the ag-gag legislature gets a boost of star power as country music singer Carrie Underwood throws her hat in the ring. The Tennessee Senate recently passed a bill that would require any undercover footage of factory farms to be turned into authorities within 48 hours of it being shot. All the bill needs to become a law is for Governor Bill Haslam to approve it. Underwood voiced her dismay on Twitter, “Shame on TN lawmakers for passing the Ag Gag bill,” she wrote, and issued a warning to the one man who can stop the unjust law from going into effect. “If Gov. Bill Haslam signs this, he needs to expect me at his front door. Who’s with me?”
