Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia has been recognized as the nation’s most vegetarian-friendly ballpark by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. The Phillies’ home turf, which has won PETA’s accolade two years running, offers fans an array of meat-free fare such as faux-chicken patties, faux chicken-steak, and faux “pit beef.” The runner-up in the ballpark rankings was Comerica Park in Detroit. The Tigers’ home field serves a slew of veggie-meat staples such as Italian sausage, a riblet sandwich, and hot dogs, along with vegetarian sushi and black-bean burgers. Other ballparks on PETA’s list are the Nationals Park in Washington DC, San Francisco Giants’ AT&T Park, and Los Angeles Angels’ Angel Stadium in Anaheim.
