Vegan food company Dee’s Wholefoods recently partnered with UK retailer Tesco to bring plant-based sausage products to its grocery store shelves. Dee’s Wholefoods was founded by nutritionist Deirdre Collins, and was conceived after Collins began selling her Organic Omega Burger at farmers’ markets to enthusiastic consumers. The vegan sausages are made of pea protein with navy beans, black beans, and Dulse seaweed. The products are free of genetically modified ingredients and are sustainably produced. The sausage is available in three flavors: Traditional, Roast Garlic & Mushrooms, and Leek & Onion.
