Estefania Alamo and her father are the designers and eco-conscious entrepreneurs behind Boca Rotan-based vegan footwear company Ridebro. The duo recently started a Kickstarter campaign in hopes of raising $27,000 to go toward the production of 2,000 pairs of organic canvas lace ups, bound by water-based glue. Ridebro’s mission is to create products that reduce waste and “bring peace to the hectic world we live in,” the company writes on its fundraising page. According to Florida newspaper SunSentinel, Alamo plans to sell the unisex sneakers online for $55 per pair, but Kickstarter pledges of $49 or more will be gifted a pair. “We want to go back to living the simple lifestyle and appreciate our earth,” the 23-year-old entrepreneur tells the news outlet.
