British Columbia’s largest city has quite the growing vegan food scene. Vancouver recently welcomed an all-gluten-free and vegan food truck, Culver City Salads, to its bustling streets, and the truck has already gained an approving nod from food editor Stephen Hui of Veg Coast. According to Hui, Culver City Salads offers soba noodles, quinoa, or grain-free salads. There are four dairy- and egg-free dressings to choose from, including Creamy Basil––made with apple cider vinegar, soy sauce, basil, tahini, and miso––and Sundried Tomato, consisting of basil, garlic, dijon, and balsalmic. In addition to its gluten-free dishes, Culver City Salads offers wheat-free sweet treats such as its Double Chocolate Chip Cookies, sweetened with organic coconut sugar.
