Blogger’s Survey Tracks Worldwide Vegan Trends

There is very little data on vegan demographics, and with the rapidly rising trend, surveys from a couple years ago may be far from relevant. Now, Holly Piggot, the creator of @TheAllAnimalVegan blog is attempting to track international vegan statistics through her online survey The Big Count. The London-based animal lover not only aims to count the international vegan population, but she’s also attempting to map out the group’s age, gender, and geographic location demographics, as well as find out what the most prominent reasons are among vegans for giving up meat and dairy. “According to most statistics only 1% of the population are vegan,” she writes. “Let’s find out if that is accurate!”
