Glasgow, Scotland was recently dubbed “The Most Vegan-Friendly City in the United Kingdom” by the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals. According to the organization, the city has more than 20 veg-friendly restaurants that range from cute cafés such as Cherry and Heather to rocking performance venues such as 13th Note, which serves cruelty-free fare as well as a menagerie of vegan lagers and wines. A few of the metropolis’ establishments even offer veg-versions of the traditional Haggis dish. The Glasgow city government has also recognized a plant-based diet’s innumerable health benefits and has instituted the Fruit Plus campaign, which gives local children access to free fresh fruit daily
