Sheri Grooms of Lake Placid, FL may have just graduated high school, but she’s already immersed in the professional realm of the tech industry. Grooms built her own app, VeganNOMMS, that gives users access to 50 of her original homemade recipes like raw chocolate ice cream and cinnamon pecan pancakes. Many of her concoctions cater to the health and fitness crowd, using protein powder and oat flour and substituting agave nectar for traditional sugar sweeteners. “Many people believe that if you are a vegan, your diet is very boring, but I’m here to prove them wrong,” Grooms told Highlands Today. “All of my recipes are delicious, completely tempting and least of all boring.” VeganNOMMS has already been sold in 34 countries around the world, including Belgium, Ecuador, and Saudi Arabia.
