In a recent “meet and greet” with music legend Joan Jett, 125 guests showed up to mingle with the singer at the all-vegan Plum Café & Bakery in Sacramento, CA. Attendees snapped photos with the “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll” songstress and nibbled on vegan chicken wraps, housemade chili, sweet potato paninis, and kombucha on tap. The event raised $7,000 for the national animal organization, Farm Sanctuary, and co-founder Gene Baur addressed the audience as part of the afternoon’s program. Joan Jett is vegan, a supporter of animal rights, and is best known for her with work with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts.
