Whatever your morning routine consists of—bagels, bananas, or blended beverages—you’ll want to start including this slightly sweet and incredibly adaptable spread in your plans. Everybody likes getting a two-for-one, but the combination of agave nectar, salt, and cashew butter is more of a triple-threat. The richness of cashews makes a perfect base for both sides of this flavor combination. Slather a hearty helping on your cinnamon-raisin bagel, dollop a heaping spoonful on your oatmeal, or thicken your strawberry-spinach smoothie by dropping some into your blender with a little non-dairy milk for some serious rise-and-shine satisfaction. This versatile and creamy treat is a great evening addition too. Take the sweet spread out for a tapas dinner by spreading some on toasted crostini and top with VegNews Recipe Club’s Plum Basil Jam. With so many options available, a double-batch may be in order.
