VeganBurg, the plant-based, fast-food restaurant preparing to open its first US location in San Francisco, recently announced plans to relocate its entire headquarters from Singapore to The Golden Gate City. “Who we are fits so naturally in this city,” Cynthia Riddell, VeganBurg’s head of marketing, told Latest Vegan News. “We love San Francisco, especially for its value of sustainably-sourced produce and historical commitment to love, peace, and equality. There’s no better place to launch the new generation of the plant-based lifestyle.” The fast-casual restaurant’s Singaporean menu includes local favorites such as Tangy Tartar, Char-Grilled Satay, Hawaiian Teriyaki, and Avocado Beetroot burgers, along with sides such as organic French fries sprinkled with seaweed flakes and handmade spinach-potato pops. And with the success of recent veg concept restaurants, Riddell says the outlook for a number of more US outposts looks good.
