This Thanksgiving, America Online (AOL) decided to try something different with a feature entitled “10 vegan dishes that will completely steal the show this Thanksgiving.” To back up its declaration that “Turkey is NOT the best part of the meal,” AOL presented 10 recipes, nine of which are vegan. The site stated, “Believe it or not, vegan dishes can steal the show,” and revealed that veganizing favorite holiday recipes is easy “if you tweak them a bit.” Spotlighted recipes include a corn casserole; an apple, fennel, and sage lentil loaf; and pumpkin cornbread muffins.
