Los Angeles vegan restaurant Fala Bar opened its second location Saturday on Venice’s famed Abbot Kinney Boulevard. The eatery will be similar to the flagship restaurant on Melrose Avenue (opened in April 2014) but will also offer 10 new menu items consisting of sandwiches, bowls, and street-style tacos in a 600 square-foot space with three indoor seats and patio accommodations for 12. The fare at both locations is completely vegan, organic, nut-free, and all produce is sourced locally. “At Fala Bar, we know we appeal to vegans, but we want to prove to the meat eaters that they will love vegan food, too,” Gina Ragnone, one of the three non-vegan owners, says. “That is why we stay away from all processed vegan food and stick with pure and wholesome ingredients that anyone would recognize.” Fala Bar has plans to expand to additional locations in California.
