Attendees of the very non-vegan burger challenge enjoyed the 100-percent plant-based cheesy dish made from sweet potato-cashew cheese sauce, shiitake bacon, and almond parmesan—a customer favorite at Coscarelli’s by CHLOE restaurant in Manhattan. Event host Rachael Ray was a fan, posing with the vegan chef in an Instagram post with mac and cheese in tow. Coscarelli expressed interest to Latest Vegan News in submitting her own signature burger into the competition next year—which may be a good idea considering her veggie burger was recently named the best in New York City. by CHLOE has seen such rapid success since its opening earlier this year that a second location in New York City’s Flatiron District is already in the works.
