Miley Cyrus Announces Her Veganism

In a new interview with Paper magazine, singer Miley Cyrus announced that she became vegan last year after witnessing her dog being attacked by a coyote and that “she’s finally ready to be held accountable—to be an example.” The 22-year old hopes to be a social activist with the launch of her Happy Hippie Foundation, a non-profit organization that will raise funds and awareness for homeless and LGBTQ youth. Cyrus, known for pushing boundaries, goes on to speak about her own fluid sexuality and the unfair distribution of wealth she sees in society. The cover of the magazine features Cyrus hugging her companion pig, Bubba Sue, while wearing nothing but caked-on body paint.
