Due to last year’s success, the second annual Vegan Oktoberfest is expanding to two days and a new venue that can accommodate 3,000 people each day. Taking place October 3 and 4 at Los Angeles Center Studios, the event veganizes an authentic Oktoberfest celebration with live oompah bands, vegan craft beer, food from plant-based vendors, and contests. “Vegan Oktoberfest will offer guests more food, more beer, and more fun,” David Edward Burke, an animal-rights attorney and event organizer, says. “It’s not merely going to be a great vegan event or a great Oktoberfest. Vegan Oktoberfest will be one of the best beer and food festivals in the entire country.” The cruelty-free event will donate a portion of the proceeds to Expand Animal Rights Now, an organization that uses the legal system to advocate for animals. Early bird tickets are on sale now, and all tickets include a complimentary beer stein and unlimited beer sampling.
