Making vegan milk is a simple (yet long) process that requires soaking your preferred nuts for six to eight hours to allow the cashews or almonds to soften and improve digestibility. But what if you need a cup or two of milk, pronto? You turn to shredded coconut or hemp or sesame seeds, that’s what, as these ingredients can be thrown directly into a blender in less time than it takes to run to the store.
