To kick off New England Patriots’ quarterback Tom Brady’s return to football this weekend, Massachusetts-based ice cream shop New City Microcreamery will donate all profits from its Vegan Chocolate Avocado Ice Cream flavor to Best Buddy International—an organization sponsored by Brady that is working to destigmatize people living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The shop regularly offers vegan flavors—currently Raspberry Sorbet, Vegan Avocado, and Vegan Vanilla—and chose a vegan flavor for this fundraiser in order to honor the athlete’s dairy-free lifestyle. Through his merchandising arm TB12, Brady launched a line of vegan nut snacks last month priced at $50 per box.
