United Kingdom-based meatless company Quorn recently launched four new vegan products in stores across the UK. The company worked with vegan customers on the formulations of their new line which features Vegan Nuggets, Vegan Breaded Fillet, Moroccan Chicken Soup, and Thai Chicken Soup. While the popular meatless company uses egg in most of their mycoprotein-based products, Quorn introduced several vegan items last year—including four in the United States—and Quorn Marketing Director Peter Harrison says that they proved to be a huge success, drawing in sales of over $2 million. “Veganism is a sector within the industry that is growing as an increasing number of consumers consider the ethical, sustainability and health aspects their food,” Harrison says, “and we’ll continue to work hard to develop high quality, tasty products for the Quorn range.” The new line is exclusively available in the UK, but the company is currently exploring opportunities for new vegan product launches in the US.
