According to Italian news outlet La Stampa Chronicles, Milan is now home to Nature—the first vegan kindergarten in Italy. The school told the news outlet, “We love and respect all animals, so we do not use any food originated from their exploitation (not only meat and fish, but also eggs, dairy and honey).” In addition to serving 100-percent vegan meals, Nature’s curriculum is focused on environmental issues and students learn about recycling. California’s MUSE school recently transitioned to an all-vegan menu, and The Scandinavian School in New Jersey—a vegan preschool that teaches children to interact with their food—was profiled in The Wall Street Journal for its innovative approach to teaching children about health and sustainability.
