Sibling owners of Minneapolis-based vegan shop The Herbivorous Butcher Kale and Aubry Walch will appear on the popular Food Network show Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives on July 15. Host Guy Fieri visited the shop in May to film the segment and was delighted by the shop’s vegan offerings, including the Italian Cold Cuts Sandwich (pictured)—made with pastrami, ham, pepperoni, and mozzarella served on a hoagie bun with pickled cherry peppers, mayonnaise, dried oregano, oil, and vinegar. “My favorite thing is when (Fieri) said the Italian Cold Cut sandwich was good even by a meat sandwich standard,” Kale told VegNews. Since its opening early this year, the vegan butcher shop received massive media attention with features in TIME, Eater, and National Public Radio.
