The summer exhibition “Eat Your Vegetables! Five Centuries of Vegetarianism and the Printed Word” will be open for public viewing at Indiana University Bloomington’s Lilly Library until September 10. Featuring a variety of rare and antique cookbooks emphasizing plant-based cuisine, the display explores vegetarianism’s history and societal impact. Materials for the exhibit were chosen from many of the Lilly Library’s collections, most notably the vegetarian history books and pamphlets donated by local antiquarian bookseller William Dailey.
