Famed vegan restaurant by CHLOE will open its brand new location in Boston’s Seaport District on February 23. Co-founded by Samantha Wasser and vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli—and supported by ESquared Hospitality—the by CHLOE restaurant chain has expanded rapidly since its flagship location opened in the West Village neighborhood of New York City in 2014. The eatery will make its Boston debut with menu items similar to those in its currently operating locations, and will include plant-based burgers, salads, bowls, sandwiches, and desserts. Special location-specific menu items are being developed by chef Manuel Trevino, pastry chef Richard Leach, and blogger Candice Hutchings of The Edgy Veg. The Seaport location of by CHLOE will also serve desserts, such as baked goods and Chill by Chloe—a coconut milk-based ice cream line developed by Alchemy Creamery, a New York vegan company acquired by the brand last year. The by CHLOE empire currently consists of four Manhattan locations—including Sweets by CHLOE bakery, which opened last year adjacent to its flagship restaurant, and one in a Whole Foods 365 store in Los Angeles, CA. Future by CHLOE locations will include two more New York restaurants (one in Rockefeller Plaza and one in Brooklyn neighborhood Williamsburg) and another Boston location (in the Fenway neighborhood) slated to open this April.
