Vegan company Miyoko’s Kitchen announced this week that it received $6 million in funding from several investors including JMK Consumer Growth Partners (JMK). The vegan company—known for its nut-based cheeses—will use the funds to expand its product lines, distribution channels, and for the completion of a manufacturing facility in Petaluma, CA that will enable Miyoko’s Kitchen to increase its production capabilities thirtyfold. “We are also extremely proud to be partnering with our third female founder,” JMK’s co-founder Sarah Woelfel said. “Miyoko’s passion for her brand and its mission is admirable and inspiring, and we look forward to building a bright future together.” As part of its expansion efforts, the award-winning California-based company recently debuted its European Style Cultured VeganButter at Trader Joe’s stores nationwide.
