Free Vegan Food at Bareburger for National Burger Day

In celebration of National Burger Day, chain eatery Bareburger will give away free vegan burgers at its 12 Manhattan and five Queens, NY locations from 3pm until 6pm today. While a non-vegan item is also on offer, the fully plant-based (and gluten-free) “Farmstead” burger is comprised of a sweet potato and rice-based patty wrapped in collard greens, slathered with green hummus, and topped with tomatoes, baby kale, and avocado basil dressing. Bareburger recently partnered with plant-based company Impossible Foods and debuted the Impossible Burger at its flagship location near New York University, with the plan of adding the burger to its 43 locations worldwide in the coming months.
