Hit reality show Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA) star Porsha Williams recently announced that she has adopted a vegan diet. “I’m vegan now. I’ve changed my eating habits,” Williams revealed in a promotional clip for the upcoming 10th season of RHOA. “I’m doing it for health reasons. Just want to live a better life; be the best Porsha that I can be.” Since the transition, Williams has been making veggie stew in her crockpot, dining on vegan grilled cheese sandwiches, and posting her plant-based shopping list to Instagram. RHOA co-star Kim Zolciak—who is also vegan—has been instrumental in Williams’ transition to a cruelty-free diet. “Kim is also vegan,” Williams said. “We’re like holding each other accountable. We do a lot of fun stuff with our new [vegan] world, so you’ve got to stay tuned for that.” Williams cited vegan documentary What The Health as one reason for adopting a vegan diet. Another reason, she said, was “because of my mom’s persistence to usher me into a healthier lifestyle,” who Williams says has also adopted a vegan diet recently. What the Health, which premiered on Netflix in June, has been credited for helping several celebrities—including musician Ne-Yo—ditch animal products.
