For the duration of this week, Los Angeles-based brand Lipslut will donate 100 percent of its profits from sales of new vegan lipstick shade “F*ck Kavanaugh” to organizations that support victims of, and fight against, sexual assault. Lipslut describes the new shade ($19.95) as a “matte liquid lipstick [that] is a cool, calm, and collected deep red,” and orders will take six to eight weeks to ship. Lipslut created the shade in response to the political debate surrounding the pending confirmation of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court, which is currently delayed due to allegations of sexual assault by his former classmate Christine Blasey Ford, Ph.D. The lipstick brand was created in 2016 following the presidential election with the mission of fighting for social-justice issues and has previously supported organizations such as Planned Parenthood, National Women’s Law Center, and TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund. In June, Lipslut donated all profits from the sales of its “F*ck Trump” lipstick shade to benefit families separated at the United States/Mexico border by the Trump Administration’s “zero tolerance” immigration policy.
