The first annual Your Plant-Based Guide Conference takes place May 19 and 20 in Costa Mesa, CA. Hosted by author/vegan nutrition specialist Gina Bonanno-Lemos, the two-day gathering includes health training and presentations focused on the health benefits of a vegan diet and the ways people can reduce animal suffering and climate change through plant-based living. Described as being “for anyone interested in preventing and reversing disease, increasing their energy level, living without aches and pains, and discovering how to maintain or build muscle with plant foods,” the gathering includes talks by Joel Kahn, MD; Michael Klaper, MD; Brooke Goldner, MD; bodybuilder Robert Cheeke; fitness expert Ella Magers; and author Ocean Robbins. Attendees at the inaugural event will also have the opportunity to sample new plant-based products, dance during the Saturday night party, and participate in a Sunday morning yoga class.
