United Kingdom-based supermarket Sainsbury’s recently launched a new line of vegan ice creams under its private-label Deliciously Free From. The new coconut oil-based line is available in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, are wheat-free, gluten-free, and soy-free, and retail for £3.50 ($4.91) a pint. Sainsbury’s Free From line is designed specifically for customers with food allergies and intolerances, and all of its products in the line are made in dedicated “free from” facilities. In 2016, Sainsbury’s launched its own line of coconut milk-based cheeses and has continued expanding that line to now carry eight plant-based options, including a cheddar-style with caramelized onions, soft cheese-style, and Greek-style feta.
