Kroger Launches Vegan Recipe Contest

Grocery chain Kroger recently launched a vegan recipe contest through its wellness publication Live Naturally. The contest rules state that plant-based recipes must not contain any animal products, use 10 ingredients or fewer (incorporating a product from Kroger’s Simple Truth line), and participants can submit up to three recipes each. Recipe submissions must be received by July 15. On August 15, Food Network star Ellie Krieger and acclaimed vegan chef Mark Reinfeld will announce a grand-prize winner—who will receive $1,000 and a Vitamix blender—and runners-up who will be awarded a variety of other prizes such as vegan cookbooks and free memberships to wellness communities.
