Miley Cyrus Stands Up for Vegan Fashion at Met Gala

During a red-carpet interview with Vogue at the recent fashion-forward Met Gala event, vegan singer Miley Cyrus made a bold statement in support of vegan fashion. “I’m here so excited to be a part of this because this moment can be about so many different things,” Cyrus said. “For me, I want to bring a message which is veganism, and that there doesn’t have to be torture in fabulous fashion.” Vegetarian designer Stella McCartney, who was standing with Cyrus during the interview, chimed in stating, “You can be stylish and sustainable at the same time.” Last week, Cyrus launched a 38-piece vegan fashion line in collaboration with Converse and promoted it on talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live.
