Australia’s largest airline, Qantas, recently shared a promotional video on its Twitter page highlighting Melbourne plant-based cafe Matcha Mylkbar. The video features several of the cafe’s offerings such as “Eggs on Toast” that features a “yolk” made from linseed protein and sweet potato, set in a “white” made of coconut milk-infused agar agar and “Big Breakfast with Eggs” that features vegan bacon made from dehydrated mushrooms. Last year, Qantas’ previously displayed its support of veganism by adding an in-flight vegan menu—which includes serving falafel, lentil and quinoa salad, instant vegetable noodles, marinated olives, and cashew-sesame snacks—to its subsidiary airline Jetstar.
