Diner en Blanc, a large outdoor dinner party where partygoers dress in white, will be adding vegan and gluten-free options to its annual Philadelphia pop-up on August 16. This year, Diner en Blanc guests can order an all-veggie antipasto menu or Moroccan options such as a stuffed-bread dish called “medfouna,” couscous, olives, artichoke salad, and other Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Plant-based dining options are poised to grow in vegan-friendly Philadelphia this summer with the opening of Luhv Vegan Deli in the city’s historic Reading Terminal Market, vegan bakery Batter & Crumbs in South Philadelphia, and an unnamed joint-venture between coffeeshop Grind House and Crust Vegan Bakery in West Philadelphia.
