Last week, New York City-based frozen yogurt chain 16 Handles launched a new line of vegan cashew milk-based flavors at its locations in NYC, New Jersey, and Connecticut. On January 16, the chain unveiled a Chocolate Hazelnut Truffle soft serve flavor and will debut a new vegan option on the 16th of each month through March. The chain further increased its plant-based options by adding dairy-free Belgian chocolate chips to its toppings bar. “We want more options so our vegan and dairy-alternative guests can flaunt their flavor both in our shops and by ordering on our delivery platforms,” says 16 Handles CEO and founder Solomon Choi. “Our frozen yogurt and ice cream fans are going to be surprised.” The ten-year-old chain’s cashew milk soft serve line joins its existing vegan-friendly sorbets and soy-based flavors.
