On November 1, Whole Foods Market (WFM) will launch new vegan holiday dishes in 62 stores in the Southern Pacific region (Hawaii, Southern California, Arizona, and Las Vegas, NV). The dishes include The Herbivorous Butcher’s Vegan Stuffed Turk’y stuffed with French bread and wild rice; chef Ayindé Howell’s Mac & Yease; green beans with roasted shallots; mashed potatoes; mushroom gravy; and cranberry-orange sauce. “We wanted to offer a traditional holiday meal for vegans and plant-based eaters this year with a special entrée complemented by delicious sides,” WFM Prepared Foods Associate Coordinator Megan Tucker told VegNews. “The Herbivorous Butcher is best-in-class in the seitan world and we are so excited about our new partnership. Mac & Yease is local to our region and has become an item our customers demand at all times. We couldn’t be happier connecting these suppliers.” The dishes will be available as a Vegan Meal for 4 on the WFM website from November 1 to 26 for pickup in stores from November 21 to 28. The dishes will also be available separately in the chef’s case and the grab-and-go sections of the store beginning on November 21. The Mac & Yease is available daily in many of the participating stores’ hot food bars.
