New York City-based beauty brand Milk Makeup recently launched the Vegan Milk Moisturizer, the cruelty-free brand’s first cream moisturizer. The new fragrance-free product is made from a variety of vegan milks such as oat, argan, fig, and a proprietary “desert milk” blend. “We took plants from the desert and milked them,” the brand touted on Instagram before listing kalahari melon, jojoba, aloe vera, and baobab as ingredients that “quench skin while sealing in moisture all day long.” Last year, Milk Makeup removed all animal products, including beeswax, lanolin, and carmine, from its formulations to become a fully vegan brand. The moisturizer is currently available in two sizes (1.7 ounces for $38 or a smaller 0.53 ounces for $19) online at Milk Makeup and Sephora and will be debuting in stores on December 26.
